「粉刷宋 Fenshua Serif」的诞生源于我在老城区漫步时的观察体验。斑驳墙面上残存的手写字体，承载着特定时期的宣传字体美学——字面瘦长、笔意坚实而略显粗粝。这些“时代痕迹”既非严格的书法，也不完全是机械排印，而是一种介于书写与印刷之间的复古气质。

基于这种观察，我尝试以明体为骨架，以此类风格进行瘦长化与笔画比例构建，使其兼具复古的韵味与一定的现代可用性。

The creation of Fenshua Serif originated from my observational experiences while wandering through old urban districts. The weathered walls, still bearing traces of hand-painted lettering, embody a distinctive period’s public typographic aesthetic—narrow proportions, sturdy strokes, and a subtly coarse texture. These “marks of an era” are neither formal calligraphy nor purely mechanical typesetting, but a visual language situated somewhere between handwriting and print, carrying a muted sense of retro character.

Drawing from these impressions, I constructed the typeface upon a Ming-style framework, refining its proportions into a slender form and recalibrating its stroke structure. The result is a typeface that balances vintage resonance with contemporary usability.
